Transform 2011: Design Innovation in Healthcare
September 11, 2011 - September 13, 2011 @ Mayo Civic Center
The Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation is hosting the Transform 2011 Conference in Rochester MN on September 11-13, 2011. AIGA is a strategic partner of this event, focused on design and innovation in healthcare.
To encourage designers to attend this conference, Mayo Clinic has extended a special invitation to AIGA members and is offering conference registration at $500—a full $300 off of the normal $800 registration fee. Simply enter SPECIAL in the OTHER registration category and note that you heard about the conference from AIGA.
This premier multidisciplinary event focuses on innovations and designing solutions to transform the experience and delivery of health care. We expect the audience of approximately 1,000 attendees from around the world to participate in person—thousands more will engage online. There will be ample opportunities for networking and collaboration, numerous surprises, and incredible talks from world renowned experts in their field.
Speakers include many designers and AIGA members, all working to make contributions to health care innovation, including William Drenttel, Doug Powell, Robert Fabricant, Allan Chochinov, Gaby Brink, Jeffrey Kapec, Hugh Dubberly, Chris Hacker, and John Thackara; leading design firms such as IDEO, Continuum and frog; design schools such as Northwestern, Art Center and University of Minnesota; leading design thinkers like Andrew Zolli, Larry Keeley and Roger Martin; and a host of clients including GE, Pepsico, IBM, J&J and other leading health care providers. John Hockenberry will be the MC and conference moderator.
Please join us in September: we are hoping this event will be a major gathering of AIGA members and designers interested in working towards innovation in health care.
