BuzZ February :: Is Print Dead?
February 03, 2010 7:15 AM - 8:30 AM @ Amelie's French Bakery
conversations over coffee.
The field of communication is rapidly changing and in many cases our virtual relationships far outnumber our "in person" relationships. With these ever growing outlets for social media and virtual interaction how do we, as visual communicators, change the way we create relationships and convey information? When messages are being distilled to 140 characters and the web is being surfed on a pocket-sized screen how do you tackle the miniaturization messages? How do you determine the right balance of new media and traditional media when developing a plan for your clients' brands and offerings? New technologies bring new opportunities but also new challenges, how do you tackle these challenges and seize these new opportunities?
And what, gasp, will be the future of the printed piece?
Join Richard Withem, Graphic Design Academic Department Director at Art Institute Charlotte at February's BuzZ as we meet old school and in person to discuss our ever-changing virtual world.
