Talk About with Brian Mah of Imaginary Forces
February 26, 2009 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM @ Mint Museum of Art
Online registration for this event has closed, but tickets for this event are still available at the door.
Imagine a world where artwork comes to life. It jumps off the page and interacts either in a world all its own or, in very special occasions, it interacts with you. It forces you, with its stunning imagery, to be engaged; it forces you to pay attention and notice the subtleties as it paints a picture of more to come. Brian Mah knows all about this world, he lives in it everyday. Imaginary Forces, where Brian is the creative director, is a design and production company but it is also so much more. It's a place where things come to life. They change and evolve right in front of you and when your experience is over, well, you don't want the experience to be over.
On February 26th, Brian will lead a discussion centered around the diversity of work created at Imaginary Forces and how design plays an integral role in each medium. He will take us through his process on projects which he has lead, documenting how things evolve from conception to completion. His examples will demonstrate how Imaginary Forces approaches creative opportunities in all of its work; whether it be live-action directing, network branding, print or experience design and how design acts as the foundation. Brian will explain how his personal process and interests dovetail into the landscape of talent at Imaginary Forces, and how the cross pollination of disciplines bring a unique perspective to their project methodology.
