Designed Unplugged: For students, recent graduates and job seekers

Are you about to graduate and wondering what exactly do employers want? Are you a recent graduate looking to jump into the workforce? Or does the recession have you seeking a new job? Then sign up today to hear from our panel of Design Unplugged experts, including creative directors, top designers, and agency and business owners, as they share their tips and thoughts on job hunting, resume writing, portfolios, interview etiquette, and criteria they look for in a potential employee.
DIRECTIONS: From the Beatties Ford Rd. entrance to JC Smith campus, make an immediate right after passing the security station. Biddle Auditorium is the first building on your left that dates from the 1800s with the large clock on top. Parking for this event is in the second lot on your left. DO NOT PARK IN THE RESERVED SPACES.

Panelists include Jim Mountjoy -Loeffler Ketchum Mountjoy, Leigh Brinkley – Brinkley Design, Kara Hollinger – Kara Hollinger Design Company, Pamela Maret - Aquent, Deanna Mancuso –Newell-Rubbermaid, David Elliott – Limerick Studios, and James Sack - Carbonhouse and our moderator for the evening will be former AIGA Charlotte President, Brady Bone of The Republik. Speakers will be from a variety of Charlotte area businesses so you won't want to miss this chance to hear directly from the people who could be looking at your portfolio and resume!
Show up at 6:30 PM to socialize/network, be there by 7:00 PM for the panel moderated discussion.
