Internship:
AIGA Charlotte is pleased to debut new rewards to our annual Student Portfolio Review! All participating portfolios will be judged by the review team to select a Best of Show winner, a runner up and a summer internship winner.
One lucky AIGA student member will win a summer internship (during the months of June-August 2008). The unpaid internship package will feature three consecutive one-month internships (20 hours a week) in different design environments. Internship locations include Rubbermaid’s in-house design department, graphic design studio birdsong gregory, and advertising agency BooneOakley. Please bring your A-game to compete for this amazing opportunity. Because of the nature of this great opportunity, only current students with an AIGA membership will be eligible to win the Internship.
All review participants are eligible for other awards including "Best of Show" and "Meal with a Mentor". "Meal with a Mentor" winners will meet for lunch with a design professional for an opportunity to discuss job searching, what it is like to be a professional designer in Charlotte and all things design. Our Mentors will be: Amanda Altman, owner of A3 Design and Speaker Events Coordinator for AIGA Charlotte and Chris Bradle, founder of Eye Design Studio and President of AIGA Charlotte.
Portfolio presentations will be judged on professionalism, presentation skills and quality of work.
$30 for Student AIGA Members
$40 for Student Non-Members
