Where are you from?
I was born and have spent the majority of my life in New Jersey. We relocated to Cornelius, North Carolina 3 years ago.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt:
Growing up with a large family and an Italian mother - food was always front and center. Cooking provides me with an outlet for creativity and expression. It is not unusual for me to spend a day in the kitchen with several recipes going at the same time - cookbooks and magazines everywhere. My daughters friends love to eat at our house, it is always surprising to me to find families no longer cook dinner and eat together. Surely in my next life I will be a chef.
What is your favorite word:
Yes. Yes. Yes.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
2 things - I started my working career as a Certified Laboratory Technician, working in Hospitals in special chemistry lab and as a phlebotomist. Also, I have won the neighborhood "best" pie contest for the last 2 years. My Banana Cream Pie with Chocolate and Caramel sauce is to die for!
What's the best advice you've ever received?
The best advice I have ever received was to set goals. Goal setting is a powerful process for thinking and motivating yourself about your future. One technique taught by the experts is to use the SMART method, S Specific, M Measurable, A Attainable, R Relevant and T Time-bound. My profession of sales is very goal oriented, self controlled and transparent. One word of advice, write down your goals, this brings the goals into sharp focus. The tragedy of life doesn't lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goals to reach.
