Have a Voice

September 22, 2008 Filed Under: Chapter News 0 Comments

AIGA Charlotte would like to invite and encourage you all to take part in this year’s elections. Please make sure YOUR voice is heard and VOTE!

The last day for traditional voter registration is Friday, October 10, 2008. North Carolina residents who will be 18-years old by November 4, 2008 are eligible to register for the 2008 general election.

A community organizer from the non-partisan election reform group, Democracy North Carolina, will be at AIGA Charlotte’s Get Out the Vote Meet|Market event on Tuesday, September 30th. We hope you can join us as we view AIGA’s winning Get Out the Vote posters, participate in a non-partisan campaign-button-making competition, register to vote and mix-and-mingle with Charlotte’s creative minds.

If you are unable to join us, there are other options to register to vote. Pick up a form at any Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Library, any of the town halls, at the Board of Elections office (741 Kenilworth Ave., Ste 202, Charlotte) or on the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections website at:
http://www.meckboe.org/pages/Voter/RegistrationForm.html

If you live outside of Mecklenburg County, the NC State Board of Elections has contact information for your county's Board:

For information on statewide candidates follow this link to a voter guide:

I look forward to seeing you at the polls!
