Last night AIGA Charlotte paired up with Ad 2 Charlotte for some friendly competition, tasty pizza, used shoes and tons of fun, also known as bowling. The conclusion was drawn that the creative field does not always yield the most skilled bowlers. No offense to Nikki Mueller & Jason Robinson who were the top scorers of the evening with 2-game combined scores of 236 & 333 respectively. Lindsey Greenwald wowed all who attended with her combined score of 116, awarding her with the title of Lowest Score of the evening. All winners were awarded $15 itunes cards. Way to go guys! Ad 2 generously donated two awesome Laura Vossburg prints that were raffled off and went to two photography-loving recipients. If you missed this event don't fret. We'll host one again soon, just watch the site for upcoming Meet|Markets.
Special thanks to Abby Crocket of Ad 2 who helped organize the event, Mark Keys for creating all of the promotional design and Glen at Pappas Park Lanes who graciously hosted us.
Check out the fun at our flickr site.
What is your favorite thing about bowling alleys? AIGA Charlotte would love to know. Post it here.

I especially enjoyed the vending machine stocked with socks.

Bowling alleys have always been one of my three favorite environments. I really enjoy how bowling unites people from all walks of life (scary hoodlums & little kids) and no matter how new an alley is, the design is always super tacky and 70s. Pure delight.

I enjoy greasy friends and good food at a bowling alley. It was a great social event with some talented bowling going on. Glad to see two powerhouse organizations like AIGA and Ad2 combine forces and put on a good time. Thanks to Rhonda and Abby for making this happen.

I love the bowling ball racks. Especially the way everyone walks down the line, "trying on" the bowling balls. I find it hard to choose a ball because i get caught up looking at the color and some of the older "House Balls" had super cool old logos on them. I started with a pink ball named Theresa but switched to a lime green one which worked out really well. It was great to see everyone and I'll be there next time. Who doesn't love bowling?

I guess that semester of bowling PE paid off. Sorry Tim. If only you were a girl, you might have taken a prize home too.
